Muscle Building Workout
Finding the right workout is like finding the right person to date- sometimes, you have to try over and over (and over) again before you find something that works. But when you do, it is a beautiful thing! Sure, you are probably wondering, but how do I separate the facts from the fiction when it comes to muscle building? The key, my friend, is simply to find someone who can share the truth about muscle building with you!
One person who has been willing to do so is Vince DelMonte. Vince’s No Nonsense Muscle Building program has helped numerous hopelessly skinny guys reach their muscle building goals. Even guys who are “hard gainers” (like many of us) have been able to finally put on some quality, lean muscle mass with the use of this program. Although I obviously can not share the whole program with you in this space, I can share with you a quick workout which I believe may carry some of the same principles as the No Nonsense Muscle Building program!
First of all, if you want to have big guns, and by guns, I mean biceps, you have to be ready to hit the curls! Some of the best curls available are regular old dumbbell bicep curls, as long as you remember not to cheat with your core muscles! Try to keep your body straight while you use just your biceps to lift the dumbbells! If you want to really isolate those babies, sit on a large sized exercise ball with your legs spread, and put your elbow on the inside of your thigh, doing “concentration” curls. Preacher curls are also a timeless classic!
No workout is complete without some work on your core. Here are a couple of exercises that allow you to work your core muscles, as well as other muscles all at the same time. First of all, try to use the stability ball again, but this time for push ups. Try to maintain your balance using your core muscles while you do them, and experiment with different types of hand placements (I prefer them being close together).
Also, you will want to work on your triceps, since they give your arms much of their size. You really can not beat press downs for tricep work, and if you want to throw a little twist into your press downs, try to use a reverse grip every now and then!
Finally, to hit your triceps a little differently, use the cables to do some overhead tricep extensions. When doing so, make sure to hit them slowly, as you do not want your form to deteriorate! Form is one of the most important things to maintain, as it keeps your muscles working hard and helps you to avoid injury!
These are a few ideas for a great muscle building workout, but there is no way I could compete with the wealth of proven information contained in the Vince Delmonte No Nonsense Muscle Building program!
